Russia extends diesel export ban through end of year

Russia has extended its diesel export ban until the end of the year to address domestic fuel shortages and stabilize market supply.
Russia has extended its restrictions on diesel exports through the end of the year in an effort to stabilize domestic fuel supplies. The measure, originally scheduled to expire on July 31, aims to alleviate localized shortages that have caused long queues at filling stations across the country.
Speaking to reporters in Omsk, Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak stated that the government plans to lift the restriction as soon as the domestic market recovers. Novak noted that the timeline would be adjusted to prevent Russian oil refineries from accumulating excess inventory once conditions improve.
