The Royal Navy monitored Russian ships in UK waters, while Ukraine grapples with air defense missile shortages and manpower constraints.

The British Royal Navy completed a three-day monitoring operation tracking Russian warships and sanctioned shadow fleet cargo vessels passing through UK waters. Royal Navy vessels HMS Duncan, HMS St Albans, and HMS Severn deployed radar and advanced sensor arrays to maintain continuous oversight of the foreign ships.

Concurrently, military developments in Ukraine highlight ongoing challenges for Ukrainian forces. A critical deficit in air defense interceptor missiles leaves Ukrainian infrastructure susceptible to intensified Russian drone and cruise missile bombardment. Ukrainian commanders are attempting to stem Russian territorial advances while preserving troop numbers, as manpower shortages worsen ahead of a potential secondary Russian mobilization. Additionally, a Russian official was dismissed from office after issuing a public warning regarding a possible "social crisis" in Russia.
