Production of Eurofighter Typhoon jets for Turkey begins in the UK
BAE Systems has confirmed that production of 20 Eurofighter Typhoon jets for Turkey has begun under a £2.5 billion defense contract.
Production of Eurofighter Typhoon fighter aircraft ordered by Turkey has officially commenced in the United Kingdom and partner nations, according to defense contractor BAE Systems.
The update was disclosed in BAE Systems' financial results. The deal, finalized in October 2025, is valued at approximately £2.5 billion and covers the procurement of 20 Eurofighter Typhoon combat jets. In addition to the aircraft, the contract encompasses pilot training, specialized support equipment, and operational services.
The Eurofighter Typhoon program is produced by a European consortium comprising the UK, Germany, Italy, and Spain, with BAE Systems spearheading key manufacturing and support operations for the fleet.
