Polish authorities met with elusive Zondacrypto chief Przemysław Kral in the Persian Gulf to discuss a potential crown witness agreement.

Polish authorities have held a confidential meeting in a Persian Gulf state with Przemysław Kral, the head of cryptocurrency exchange Zondacrypto, according to reporting by Rzeczpospolita.

Prosecutor Marek Wełna and an official from Poland's Central Anti-Corruption Bureau traveled to the region to negotiate a potential crown witness deal with Kral, who had been untraceable for three months. In exchange for immunity or leniency, investigators are seeking testimony regarding money laundering operations and the unsolved disappearance of the exchange's original founder.

Polish prosecutorial authorities have not denied that the secret talks took place. If finalized, the cooperation agreement could uncover key details regarding organized financial crime and potential political links.
