Pentagon signs seven-year deal with L3Harris for rocket motor production

The Pentagon has secured a seven-year agreement with L3Harris to expand solid rocket motor production for PAC-3 and THAAD air defense systems.
The United States Department of Defense has entered into a framework agreement with defense contractor L3Harris to scale up manufacturing of solid rocket motors. The seven-year deal aims to increase supply lines for crucial air defense systems, specifically the Patriot MIM-104 PAC-3 missiles and Terminal High Altitude Area Defense (THAAD) interceptors.
The agreement arrives amid ongoing efforts by American defense officials to bolster domestic ammunition manufacturing capacity and address stock depletion following elevated global military demand and aid commitments. Under the terms, L3Harris will expand its production infrastructure to meet the Pentagon's long-term demands for interceptor components.
