Mexican military arrests Los Reyes cartel leader wanted by United States

Mexican authorities have arrested Alfonso Fernández Magallón, a Los Reyes cartel leader facing a $5 million U.S. bounty, triggering blockades in Michoacán.
The Mexican army has captured Alfonso Fernández Magallón, known as "Poncho," an alleged leader of the Los Reyes drug cartel wanted by the United States.
The U.S. government had previously offered a reward of up to $5 million for information leading to his arrest. The operation took place on Saturday in the western state of Michoacán. Following the high-profile arrest, violence erupted as suspected gang members initiated road blockades and set fire to multiple vehicles across several municipalities in the region in response to the military action.
