Italian police advance investigations into multiple recent violent deaths, including a terrace fall in Rome, a mistaken-identity attack in Varese, and a fatal stabbing in Verona.

Italian law enforcement agencies are continuing investigations into a series of recent fatal incidents across the country. In Rome, prosecutors detained 41-year-old Mohamed Trabelsi after 30-year-old Dafne Rebaudo fell to her death from a terrace in Tor Bella Monaca; video evidence disproved initial suicide hypotheses and witnesses reported a silent fall. In Verona, 52-year-old Andrea Rizzardi Recchia confessed to fatally stabbing his mother, Grazia Rizzardi, claiming he acted out of compassion at her request to end her suffering.

In Varese, 36-year-old Federico Venco died after a motorist rammed his scooter, mistakenly believing Venco was his ex-girlfriend's new partner while Venco was simply assisting her with directions. Additionally, Valerio Gentile has died in hospital following an acid attack by his former partner in Pomezia on July 9.
