Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has formally rejected a 15-point Gaza peace framework backed by US President Donald Trump, insisting that Israeli forces will not pull out of the territory until Hamas undergoes full disarmament.
Speaking to his cabinet on Sunday, Netanyahu confirmed Israel's opposition to the proposal, which had gained acceptance from Hamas in late July. He stated that the military will not conduct any withdrawal before Hamas is disarmed and will continue actions to counter threats against its forces.
The decision highlights persistent diplomatic tension between Washington and Tel Aviv. Netanyahu is navigating competing pressures from right-wing coalition members and the US administration ahead of Israel's parliamentary elections scheduled for late October, despite a recent lull in military operations under American pressure.
