Iran and Oman are finalizing talks on the Strait of Hormuz after US President Donald Trump paused planned strikes, while US embassies maintain regional security warnings for citizens.

Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi stated that negotiations between Iran and Oman concerning the management of the Strait of Hormuz are in their final stages. The announcement follows statements from United States President Donald Trump, who noted that a major planned military strike on Iran was cancelled to provide room for diplomatic efforts.

Despite the diplomatic movement, U.S. embassies across the Middle East—including posts in Israel, Jordan, Iraq, Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Lebanon, Qatar, Bahrain, and Oman—have issued security advisories. American citizens were warned of potential sudden regional escalation and advised to consider leaving the region.

Meanwhile, in Ukraine, Governor Oleksandr Prokudin confirmed that Russian strikes on Kherson wounded 18 people and killed a 54-year-old woman. Separately, Alexey Likhachev, head of Russia's Rosatom, reported that Ukrainian sea drones sank the cargo ship Janjina in international Black Sea waters, though all 17 crew members were rescued.
