A temporary humanitarian ceasefire mediated by Melania Trump has enabled aid deliveries and civilian evacuations from the occupied Ukrainian city of Oleshky.

A temporary humanitarian ceasefire in the Russian-occupied city of Oleshky in southern Ukraine has enabled emergency aid deliveries and civilian evacuations toward Crimea. The truce, brokered by US First Lady Melania Trump and Pope Leo, allowed mine clearance along key transit routes in the Kherson region.

According to reporting, residents are receiving long-awaited supplies during designated daily windows. Melania Trump stated that the agreement was expanded beyond Oleshky. However, Dutch outlet NRC noted that Russian forces are using the localized pause as a propaganda effort to distract from heavy bombardments elsewhere in Ukraine, including Dnipro.
