Hospitality giant Whitbread to shut all Brewers Fayre and Beefeater sites
Whitbread is set to close all Brewers Fayre and Beefeater locations across the UK in September, threatening over 3,800 jobs as part of a major corporate overhaul.
Hospitality company Whitbread is closing all 89 of its Brewers Fayre restaurants across the United Kingdom as part of a wider restructuring process. According to reports, the closures will take effect on 7 September.
Additionally, Whitbread plans to shut down all of its Beefeater restaurant locations on 10 September. The decisions follow communications sent to members of the company's customer reward schemes.
The sweeping closures put more than 3,800 jobs at risk nationwide. Whitbread, which also operates Premier Inn hotels, is restructuring its business model to optimize operations across its UK portfolio.
