Multiple economic indicators suggest Finland is moving toward sustained recovery, led by gains in construction, exports, and business confidence.

Economic indicators suggest that Finland is entering a period of sustained economic growth, signalling an end to recent downturns. According to forecast head Juho Koistinen from the Labore research institute, "Multiple signs indicate that Finland's economic growth will continue strong." Koistinen pointed out that output in the construction sector has begun to increase, while industrial export performance has maintained a positive trajectory throughout the early part of the year.

Furthermore, corporate surveys released on Monday by the Confederation of Finnish Industries indicate a broader improvement in business confidence across various sectors. The rising momentum across construction, manufacturing, and exports points toward a general recovery for the Finnish economy after a prolonged period of sluggish activity.

Korea Aerospace Industries proposes T-50 trainer jet for Royal Air Force

Korea Aerospace Industries is pitching its T-50 light jet family to the UK Royal Air Force to replace the aging Hawk fleet for training and display roles.

Korea Aerospace Industries (KAI) plans to pitch its T-50 aircraft family to the United Kingdom's Royal Air Force (RAF) as a replacement for its fleet of Hawk jet trainers.

The South Korean defense contractor positioned the light jet platform as a versatile solution capable of fulfilling both pilot instruction and aerobatic display requirements ahead of the 2026 Farnborough International Airshow. KAI international business vice-president Shin Dong-Hak noted that "the T-50 already has three options; one is a trainer... and its also proven with a demonstration team."

The RAF is currently evaluating options to replace the aging Hawk platform, which serves both advanced flight training and the Red Arrows aerobatics display team. KAI emphasized that its T-50B variant already performs aerobatic demonstrations with South Korea's Black Eagles team.
