Global population of ultra-wealthy individuals reaches 556,000, report shows

The world now counts 556,000 ultra-high-net-worth individuals whose combined fortune exceeds twice the annual US GDP, according to a recent global report.
The global population of ultra-high-net-worth individuals—defined as those holding an investable net worth of at least $30 million—has reached approximately 556,000, according to data from the latest World Ultra Wealth Report.
Combined, the collective fortunes of this group now exceed twice the annual gross domestic product of the United States. While North America continues to hold the largest concentration of ultra-wealthy individuals, Asian economies are recording strong growth. In Europe, cities such as Milan and Stockholm have emerged as unexpected hubs for wealth accumulation. The findings reflect evolving global economic patterns, with wealth increasingly expanding beyond traditional financial capitals.
