The German military is focusing on domestic infrastructure protection under Operationsplan Deutschland while expanding its strategic exercises in the Indo-Pacific.

The German military is defining its operational priorities through domestic infrastructure protection and strategic international engagement. Major General Andreas Henne, commander of the Homeland Defence Division, outlined how his unit is implementing the national defense framework known as "Operationsplan Deutschland." The division is tasked with safeguarding critical infrastructure, facilitating the transit of allied NATO forces across German territory, and integrating military planning with civilian resilience structures.

Simultaneously, the German Army is increasing its operational footprint in the Indo-Pacific region. Through joint military exercises, training cooperation, and visible troop deployments, Germany seeks to deepen strategic partnerships, gather operational experience, and support regional stability in an area identified as vital to global security interests.
