Fuel stations in Croatia introduce purchase limits ahead of expected price hikes

Croatian fuel retailers INA and Petrol have introduced temporary purchase caps ahead of an anticipated price surge.
Croatian fuel retailers, including INA and Petrol, have implemented temporary purchase restrictions at service stations following reports of an impending price surge scheduled for Tuesday.
Energy company INA announced a temporary cap of 300 liters per transaction to preserve supply continuity amid heightened customer demand and stockpiling ahead of the expected price increases, particularly for diesel fuel. The measure comes as increased demand placed pressure on service station stocks across the country.
Separately, Croatian Tourism and Sports Minister Tonči Glavina announced that the country currently hosts over one million tourists, matching the peak performance recorded during the same period last year.
