Ukrainian forces advance near Kupiansk and Lyman, while Russian authorities claim progress toward Sumy and deny Ukrainian breakthroughs in Zaporizhzhia.

Military activity across Ukraine remains intense, with both Ukrainian and Russian forces reporting developments across multiple sectors. North of Kupiansk, Ukrainian troops continue advancing along the right bank of the Oskil River, while officials prepare to announce the retrieval of up to 200 square kilometres of territory in the Lyman sector.

Conversely, Russia’s Ministry of Defence claimed its forces captured several settlements approaching Sumy in northeastern Ukraine. In the southern Zaporizhzhia region, Russian Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov publicly refuted accounts of recent Ukrainian gains. Meanwhile, overnight aerial strikes targeted ammunition storage facilities within the Kyiv region. Both sides continue to release conflicting accounts regarding territory control across the active front lines.
