Ukrainian forces advance near Kupiansk and Lyman, while Russian forces claim progress near Sumy and reject reports of Ukrainian gains in Zaporizhzhia.

Clashes continue across several operational sectors along the front lines in Ukraine. Ukrainian troops are reported to be making gains on the right bank of the Oskil River to the north of Kupiansk. Additionally, military authorities are expected to officially declare the retrieval of nearly 200 square kilometres of land near Lyman.

In contrast, Russia's Ministry of Defence claimed that its forces secured multiple settlements while advancing towards Sumy. In the Zaporizhzhia region, Russian Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov directly rejected accounts detailing recent Ukrainian breakthroughs. Overnight, Russian strikes also targeted Ukrainian ammunition storage facilities in the Kyiv region.
