Ukrainian forces advance near Kupiansk and Lyman while Russia claims gains near Sumy and denies Ukrainian progress in Zaporizhzhia.

Ukrainian troops have recorded operational advances along the right bank of the Oskil River north of Kupiansk, with Ukrainian authorities expected to announce the liberation of approximately 200 square kilometres near Lyman.

Concurrently, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported that its forces secured multiple settlements on the approaches to the northern city of Sumy. In the southern Zaporizhzhia sector, Valery Gerasimov, Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Armed Forces, publicly rejected reports of recent Ukrainian battlefield gains.

In central Ukraine, overnight Russian strikes targeted ammunition storage facilities across the Kyiv region, adding to regional security pressures. Both sides continue to present conflicting assessments of territory control across key front-line positions in the north, east, and south.
