Ukrainian forces advance near Kupiansk and Lyman, while Russian authorities claim progress near Sumy and target ammunition depots near Kyiv.

Fighting continues along multiple sectors of the front line in Ukraine, with conflicting military reports emerging from both sides. Ukrainian troops have reportedly advanced along the right bank of the Oskil River north of Kupiansk. Furthermore, military officials are expected to confirm the recapture of roughly 200 square kilometres of territory near Lyman.

Conversely, the Russian Ministry of Defence claimed its forces captured several settlements on the approaches to Sumy. In the southern Zaporizhzhia sector, Russian Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov publicly denied accounts of recent Ukrainian operational gains. Meanwhile, overnight aerial bombardment by Russian forces targeted ammunition storage sites in the Kyiv region.
