Violence in the West Bank intensifies after settler raids and military blockades, while an Israeli strike in Gaza kills a senior Hamas official.
Violence in the West Bank has intensified following retaliatory raids by Israeli settlers, who set fire to two mosques, a residential home, and several vehicles near Ramallah. The attacks injured multiple Palestinian workers and followed clashes near the village of Tal that left four Palestinians and two Israeli soldiers dead.
In response, Israeli military forces locked down access to Nablus, arrested dozens of Palestinians, and announced troop reinforcements. Former Israeli Major General Giora Eiland warned the region faces "anarchy," while military officials cited potential risks of a third Intifada. Meanwhile, an Israeli airstrike in Gaza City killed Abdel-Nasser al-Makadma, a senior Hamas official serving as northern Gaza's governor and police chief.
