A drone strike killed seven near Gelendzhik while President Zelenskyy called on allies to step up pressure to force peace talks by autumn.

Russian authorities reported seven fatalities on Monday after a drone struck a crowded beach near the resort city of Gelendzhik. In a separate Black Sea incident, a drone attack targeted the Cameroon-flagged cargo ship Nadeschda near Novorossijsk, injuring three crew members. Turkish media, citing the vessel's captain, attributed the strike to Ukrainian drones.

The attacks follow recent drone strikes on a commercial facility near Moscow and a weekend restaurant bombing in the capital. Amid the escalating cross-border military activity, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy urged international allies to intensify sanctions, long-range strikes, and diplomatic pressure to force Russia into peace negotiations by this autumn.
