MBDA and Mitsubishi have partnered to co-develop advanced weapon systems for the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP).

Defence contractors MBDA and Mitsubishi have signed a new cooperation agreement under the Global Combat Air Programme (GCAP), an international effort by the United Kingdom, Italy, and Japan to develop a next-generation fighter aircraft.

Announced during the Farnborough International Airshow in the United Kingdom, the collaboration involves MBDA UK, MBDA Italia, Mitsubishi Electric, and Mitsubishi Heavy Industries. The companies plan to jointly research, develop, and integrate advanced weapon systems for the future combat air platform. The agreement strengthens industrial ties among the three participating nations as they work to align their defense technology capabilities.
