Escalating cross-border drone strikes have caused casualties in both Russia and Ukraine as heavy drone surveillance intensifies dangerous conditions along front lines.

Long-range aerial strikes between Ukraine and Russia continue to cause casualties and infrastructure damage across both nations.

Russian strikes recently hit several Ukrainian areas, including Kramatorsk, Zaporizhzhia, and Kharkiv, where a drone assault killed two people and severely damaged an apartment building. In Donetsk, regional officials reported at least one death and 15 injuries following multiple attacks on Kramatorsk and neighboring settlements.

Simultaneously, Ukrainian drone operations targeted various sites inside Russia. Drone attacks hit commercial warehouses in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, leaving at least five people dead, while a separate strike in the Belgorod border region killed three. Ukrainian forces also targeted a rocket manufacturing facility in the Samara region, causing an overnight fire.

Along the front lines, soldiers describe an increasingly lethal environment dominated by continuous drone surveillance, where any open troop movements face immediate targeting.
