Intense cross-border strikes and artillery barrages have caused civilian casualties in eastern Ukraine, disrupted power in Chernihiv, and triggered air defense responses around Moscow.

Cross-border strikes and intense frontline bombardment between Russia and Ukraine have resulted in civilian casualties, widespread infrastructure failure, and significant urban devastation.

In Russia, Moscow municipal officials stated that air defenses downed over 200 Ukrainian unmanned aerial vehicles from a barrage of around 600 targeting the capital area, leaving three people wounded. Concurrently, Ukrainian regional authorities reported that Russian air and artillery strikes killed at least three civilians and injured nine others across eastern regions, including Dnipropetrovsk. In the northern Chernihiv region, damage to electrical infrastructure left approximately 99,000 residents without power.

Meanwhile, persistent Russian bombardments have severely ruined Druzhkivka in Donetsk Oblast, a strategic settlement within the Kramatorsk defense perimeter, reducing its pre-war population of roughly 56,000 to fewer than 4,000 residents.
