Chinese automaker Chery Group is expanding its footprint in Italy with the introduction of its flagship Tiggo 9 plug-in hybrid SUV. The vehicle, measuring nearly five meters in length, features a 5+2 seating configuration designed primarily for family use.
According to reports, the new model prioritizes interior space, safety, and passenger comfort under Chery's "For Family" design philosophy. The rollout follows the Chinese group's broader commercial expansion across the Italian peninsula, where it already operates through several other brands, including Omoda & Jaecoo, Lepas, and iCaur.
The launch of the Tiggo 9 adds a large plug-in hybrid option to Chery's growing vehicle lineup in the European market.
