Zelensky honors Melania Trump following Oleshky evacuation mission
Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky awarded US First Lady Melania Trump the Order of Princess Olga following a successful evacuation mission in Russian-occupied Oleshky.
Nearly 800 civilians have been evacuated from the Russian-occupied city of Oleshky in Ukraine's Kherson region following a humanitarian ceasefire mediated by US First Lady Melania Trump.
Ukrainian Ombudsman Dmytro Lubinets and Trump confirmed the completion of route demining, allowing the safe transport of residents and delivery of vital assistance. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky expressed gratitude for the mediation and honored Trump with the Order of Princess Olga, First Class, recognizing her personal contributions to Ukraine's humanitarian support. Russian Human Rights Commissioner Yana Lantratova also acknowledged the operation, stating that it proceeded without incident and with high coordination.
