A joint US-Ukraine agreement to manufacture Patriot missiles will not be completed before winter, US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker confirmed.

A long-term agreement between the United States and Ukraine on the joint production of Patriot air defense missiles will not be finalized before this winter, according to US Ambassador to NATO Matthew Whitaker. In an interview with Fox News, Whitaker stated that while the arrangement for Patriot technology remains delayed, joint efforts between Washington, Kyiv, and European allies to produce other air defense equipment are actively moving forward.

The delay comes as Ukraine continues to seek urgent support from Western partners to bolster its aerial defenses against anticipated Russian strikes targeting energy infrastructure during the colder months. Although the timeline for producing Patriot interceptors locally has slipped, allied cooperation remains focused on strengthening Ukraine's domestic manufacturing capacity and delivering alternative defense systems.
