US airpower is facing heightened operational pressure due to simultaneous military commitments in Asia, Europe, and the Middle East, according to defense experts.

The United States military faces increasing pressure on its combat airpower as global demands expand across multiple operational theaters. According to Representative Andy Biggs, writing for Breaking Defense, the Air Force's capacity is being stretched thin by concurrent obligations, including deterring aggression from China, supporting European allies, securing the homeland, and responding to ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.

Defense strategists have long relied on air superiority as a foundational pillar of national security. However, mounting operational requirements across different timelines and regions are diminishing the force's operational buffer. Concerns are growing that assuming sufficient air combat capability will always be readily available may no longer be realistic without addressing current capacity limits.
