Ukrainian long-range strikes hit Russian military and space manufacturing sites in Samara as intense ground fighting continued across eastern Ukraine.

Ukrainian forces launched long-range missile and drone attacks on Russian industrial and military infrastructure, while heavy ground fighting persisted along the eastern front.

Satellite imagery confirmed hits on Samara's Progress Rocket Space Centre and the nearby Aviakor aircraft plant following strikes on August 15. Local authorities and media also reported aerial attacks across the Nizhny Novgorod, Penza, and Rostov regions, with potential damage near the Savasleyka airfield.

Simultaneously, Ukraine's General Staff recorded 254 combat engagements over a 24-hour period, with heavy Russian offensive activity concentrated in the Lyman and Kostiantynivka sectors. Russian troops continued attempts to sever Ukrainian positions near Kupiansk while expanding their positions south of Dobropillia.
