Ukrainian forces advance near Kupiansk and Lyman, while Russian strikes hit Kyiv region ammunition stores and Moscow claims gains near Sumy.

Ukrainian troops are reportedly making gains along the right bank of the Oskil River north of Kupiansk, with military officials expected to confirm control over roughly 200 square kilometers near Lyman. Concurrently, Russian overnight air strikes struck the Kyiv region, inflicting damage on ammunition storage facilities.

In contrast, Russia's Ministry of Defence claimed its forces secured several settlements approaching Sumy. Meanwhile, on the southern Zaporizhzhia front, Russian Chief of the General Staff Valery Gerasimov publicly refuted assertions of Ukrainian military breakthroughs, insisting that defensive positions remain fully intact.
