UK survivor testifies against Canadian poison seller Kenneth Law

A British survivor testified against Kenneth Law during his Canadian sentencing hearing, describing how he exploited her vulnerability during a personal crisis.
A British survivor spoke in an Ontario courtroom during the sentencing hearing of Kenneth Law, a Canadian man convicted of distributing lethal substances online.
Elisabeth Belien, who was publicly identified as one of Law's customers for the first time, addressed the court to describe how he targeted her during a severe personal crisis when she was 23 years old. Law's four-day sentencing hearing follows an extensive international investigation into the sale of toxic chemicals to vulnerable individuals globally, including numerous victims in the United Kingdom.
Belien's testimony formed part of the victim impact statements delivered as the court prepares to decide Law's ultimate sentence.
