U.S. President Donald Trump has urged Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin to reach a peace agreement before winter. Speaking after a meeting with Zelensky, Trump expressed confidence that Moscow is open to negotiations, stating, "He wants a deal and, if Zelensky wants a deal, it would be great."
Zelensky described his discussions with Trump as "positive and productive," adding that both Washington and Kyiv share the goal of ending the conflict in the coming months. The talks follow a recent phone conversation between Trump and Putin as diplomatic pressure builds to initiate formal peace negotiations before severe winter conditions affect military operations.
