U.S. President Donald Trump has urged Ukraine and Russia to negotiate an end to the conflict before winter following talks with Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin.

U.S. President Donald Trump has called on Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin to negotiate an end to the war before winter. Speaking after talks with both leaders, Trump stated that both sides appear interested in reaching a resolution, emphasizing, "I want him to reach an agreement."

Zelensky described his meeting with Trump as "positive and productive," noting that both Washington and Kyiv aim to stop Russian military aggression in the coming months before winter conditions set in. Following a separate phone call with Putin, Trump expressed confidence that Moscow is also seeking a settlement. He stressed that a deal could be achieved if both sides commit to negotiations prior to deteriorating seasonal weather.
