Trump urges Kyiv and Moscow to reach peace agreement before winter
U.S. President Donald Trump urges Volodymyr Zelensky and Vladimir Putin to reach a peace agreement as winter approaches.
Following recent talks with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and Russian President Vladimir Putin, U.S. President Donald Trump has called on both leaders to negotiate a peace deal before winter sets in.
Speaking after a bilateral meeting, Zelensky described the discussion with Trump as "positive and productive," stating that both Washington and Kyiv share the goal of ending the conflict in the coming months. Meanwhile, Trump stated he remains convinced that Putin desires a resolution, adding, "He wants a deal and, if Zelensky wants a deal, it would be great."
Both sides face mounting pressure to initiate formal talks before winter weather complicates conditions on the ground.
