US President Donald Trump and Chinese leader Xi Jinping discussed global security, including Ukraine, during Xi's first state visit to the US in over a decade.

Chinese leader Xi Jinping concluded a three-day state visit to the United States, marking his first such trip in over a decade. US President Donald Trump extended a rare diplomatic gesture by personally greeting Xi at his aircraft upon arrival.

During bilateral meetings at the White House, the two leaders addressed major international security concerns, including the war in Ukraine, Middle East tensions, and stability on the Korean Peninsula. The talks followed recent discussions between Trump and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who urged Washington to press Beijing into leveraging its influence over Moscow for European de-escalation. Analysts noted Beijing could seek trade concessions from Washington in exchange for adjusting its strategic posture regarding Russia.
