Active combat across Ukrainian frontlines features contrasting operational reports from both sides. On the Sumy axis, the Russian Ministry of Defence reported capturing several settlements on the approaches to the city of Sumy. Conversely, Ukrainian forces have made progress on the right bank of the Oskil River, pushing north of Kupiansk.
Further south in the Lyman sector, Ukrainian officials are expected to announce the recapture of up to 200 square kilometres of territory. However, in the Zaporizhzhia direction, Russia's Chief of the General Staff, Valery Gerasimov, publicly rejected claims of Ukrainian territorial advances, maintaining that Russian positions remain secure. Meanwhile, overnight strikes targeted ammunition depots in the Kyiv region.
