Spanish forces secure Ceuta while tensions escalate in Ukraine and Middle East

Spanish authorities maintain security checks in Ceuta as casualty counts rise in Kherson, a Russian cargo vessel is sunk in the Black Sea, and US embassies warn citizens in the Middle East.
Spanish security forces continue patrolling the enclave of Ceuta following the entry of over 50,000 migrants from Morocco, while the nearby Beni Enzar border crossing in Melilla has reopened.
In Ukraine, regional authorities reported that Russian air strikes on Kherson killed a 54-year-old woman and injured 18 people. Meanwhile, Alexey Likhachev, head of Russia's state nuclear company Rosatom, stated that Ukrainian sea drones sank the cargo vessel Janjina in international waters of the Black Sea, with all 17 crew members rescued.
Separately, United States diplomatic missions across the Middle East advised American citizens to prepare for potential rapid conflict escalation and consider leaving the region.
