SpaceX has announced plans to build a $100 billion spaceport in Louisiana featuring over a dozen launch towers for Starship rockets.

SpaceX has announced plans to build a $100 billion spaceport in Vermilion Parish, Louisiana, located roughly 185 kilometers west of New Orleans. The aerospace company aims to create the world's largest launch facility to support its Starship rocket program, targeting thousands of annual flights and more than 30 launches per day over the long term.

The proposed site along the coast is expected to feature over a dozen launch towers. Construction is slated to begin in the coming years, with the company targeting an initial Starship launch from the site by 2029. The facility is intended to facilitate future missions to the Moon and Mars, alongside commercial satellite deployments and orbital data centers.
