Sopranos actor Vincent Pastore dies at age 80

American actor Vincent Pastore, best known for playing mobster Salvatore "Big Pussy" Bonpensiero in the hit television series The Sopranos, has died at the age of 80.

Pastore was found dead at his home, as confirmed by his manager of more than 30 years, Robert Attermann. In a statement to media, Attermann paid tribute to the actor's friendship, loyalty, humor, and generosity.

An official cause of death has not yet been announced, though Pastore had previously been diagnosed with prostate cancer. Throughout his long acting career, Pastore became a familiar face on screen, frequently portraying Italian-American mob figures across a variety of film and television projects.
