Serbian president Aleksandar Vučić promises aid during Republika Srpska visit

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić visited Jezero in Republika Srpska, pledging financial support while warning of historical foreign interference in the Balkans.
Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić visited the municipality of Jezero in Republika Srpska on August 4, promising significant financial support from Serbia for the local community.
Speaking during the visit, Vučić addressed regional geopolitics, asserting that the Balkans have long been a focal point for competing foreign interests. He stated that major international powers view an independent Serbia as an obstacle, comparing present dynamics to historical foreign involvement following the 1878 Congress of Berlin.
The announcement underscores Belgrade's continued economic and political backing of Republika Srpska amid shifting diplomatic tensions in Southeastern Europe.
