Russian drone strikes across several Ukrainian regions have killed at least eight people, while Moscow claimed territorial advances in the Donetsk region.

Russian aerial bombardments across multiple Ukrainian regions have resulted in at least eight deaths and left more than 60 individuals injured, according to local emergency services. Ukrainian authorities reported that approximately 180 drones targeted areas across Dnipropetrovsk, Zaporizhzhia, Sumy, and Odesa.

In Dnipropetrovsk alone, around 60 strikes hit several districts, killing five people and injuring 16. A separate drone strike on a fuel station near Kryvyi Rih claimed three lives, including an eight-year-old child.

Meanwhile, heavy ground combat continues in eastern Ukraine. The Russian Defence Ministry claimed its forces seized the settlements of Toretsk and Vasyutinske in the Donetsk region, while Ukrainian military officials reported ongoing intense defensive operations across the frontline.
