Russian strikes kill eight across Ukraine amid claims of eastern advances

Russian forces launched widespread drone and artillery strikes across multiple regions of Ukraine, leaving at least eight people dead and more than 60 wounded, local authorities reported.

Ukrainian emergency services stated that approximately 180 drones targeted areas in Odesa, Sumy, Zaporizhzhia, and Dnipropetrovsk. In the Dnipropetrovsk region alone, nearly 60 attacks across five districts caused five deaths and 16 injuries, including casualties in Kamianske and Pavlohrad. Near Kryvyi Rih, an aerial strike on a fuel station killed three civilians, among them an eight-year-old child.

Simultaneously, intense fighting continued along the eastern front line. Russia's Ministry of Defence claimed that its forces captured the settlements of Vasyutinske and Toretsk in the Donetsk region, while Ukrainian military officials reported persistent heavy clashes across active sectors.
