Russian strikes hit Kyiv residential areas as Ukraine targeted a Volgograd logistics hub, alongside new statements from Romanian air defense pilots.

Russian forces launched drone and missile attacks across Ukraine, striking residential structures in Kyiv and causing at least nine deaths, according to regional reports. Ukrainian air defense forces reported intercepting 65 out of 80 drones launched from several Russian locations overnight.

In counter-operations, Ukrainian drones struck a Wildberries logistics hub in Russia's Volgograd region for the first time, igniting a fire with no reported casualties, according to company officials.

Concurrently, a Romanian F-16 pilot shared details regarding the recent interception of two unauthorized Russian drones over Romanian airspace, confirming air defense crews were scrambled to secure NATO's eastern boundary. The operational updates follow a previously reported foiled assassination plot against Ukrainian brigade commander Ihor Obolensky.
