Russia launched drone attacks on Kyiv and declared a campaign against Ukraine's energy grid, while EU leadership issued a warning over German drone incidents linked to Moscow.

Russian forces launched fresh drone strikes targeting Kyiv overnight, injuring at least one person following Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky's address to the United Nations General Assembly. Russian defense officials simultaneously announced a renewed military strategy focused on destroying Ukraine's energy infrastructure.

In response, Kyiv intensified long-range drone attacks against Russian oil refineries, forcing Moscow to rely on foreign fuel imports.

Concurrently, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen stated, "We do not tolerate attacks on EU soil," responding to a German inquiry into explosive drones in Leipzig where authorities identified two suspects tied to Moscow.
