Russian drones struck Kyiv following Zelensky's UN address, while the EU warned Moscow over suspected drone sabotage incidents in Germany.

Russian forces launched renewed night-time drone attacks against Kyiv, injuring a female resident and damaging local infrastructure shortly after Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky addressed the UN General Assembly. Moscow's Defence Ministry subsequently confirmed a military push specifically focused on disabling Ukraine's energy network. In response, Ukrainian long-range strikes targeted petroleum refineries inside Russia, forcing Moscow to import foreign fuel to cover domestic shortages.

Meanwhile, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen declared that the bloc is "ready to respond" to hostile actions on European soil following explosive drone incidents in Leipzig, Germany, where authorities identified two suspects with ties to Moscow.
