Romania's Nuclearelectrica is importing power from Ukraine via Energocom during a nuclear reactor shutdown, as cross-border drone strikes continue across the region.

Romanian power company Nuclearelectrica has begun purchasing electricity from Ukraine through Moldova's Energocom to address a production deficit caused by the planned maintenance shutdown of Unit 1 at the Cernavodă Nuclear Power Plant. The energy imports are intended to balance the Romanian market during the outage.

Meanwhile, regional aerial attacks persist. Russian drone bombardments across Odesa, Sumy, Dnipropetrovsk, and Zaporizhzhia killed at least eight people and injured over 60, while damaging two civilian vessels at Mykolaiv port. In Russia's Krasnodar region, local authorities reported six deaths after a Ukrainian drone crashed near Arkhipo-Osipovka. Despite intense air activity, recent Institute for the Study of War data indicates Russian territorial gains slowed in July to under 40 square kilometers.
