Polish prime minister says Russian missile likely landed near border

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk says initial evidence suggests a Russian Kh-101 missile caused a crater in eastern Poland during heavy strikes on Ukraine.
Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk stated that initial evidence points to a Russian weapon landing in eastern Poland during Thursday's aerial barrage against Ukraine. "All the indications are that it was a Russian ballistic missile of the Kh-101 type," Tusk noted, though he added that authorities "want to be one hundred percent sure" regarding the exact system and origin.
The crater in Tarnawa Kolonia was discovered following extensive overnight Russian drone and missile strikes across Ukraine, which killed at least eight people, including three children, and damaged civilian infrastructure in Kryvyi Rih and near Lviv. European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen condemned the strike on Polish territory while defense forces continue forensic analysis at the crash site.
