Poland's PGZ unveils Ratel heavy infantry fighting vehicle at MSPO

Poland's PGZ has unveiled the Ratel heavy infantry fighting vehicle at the MSPO trade fair to complement its amphibious Borsuk combat vehicle.
Polish state defence manufacturer Polska Grupa Zbrojeniowa has presented its new Ratel heavy infantry fighting vehicle at the MSPO defence industry exhibition in Kielce. Named after the honey badger, the vehicle is designed as a heavily armored counterpart to the lighter, amphibious Borsuk infantry fighting vehicle, which is already being integrated into the Polish armed forces.
While the Borsuk serves lighter mechanized units, the Ratel is intended to offer greater armor protection and combat capabilities for heavy armored formations operating in high-intensity combat scenarios. The reveal reflects Warsaw's broader strategy to modernize its army with domestically manufactured military equipment.
