Moldovan government prioritises EU integration ahead of final parliamentary sessions

Moldova's government reaffirmed European integration as its main priority as parliament prepares to vote on 15 EU alignment bills.
Moldovan Prime Minister Vasile Tofan emphasized European integration as the government's primary priority during a meeting of the National Commission for European Integration, chaired by President Maia Sandu.
In line with these commitments, Moldova's parliament scheduled its final spring session meetings for July 28 and 30. Lawmakers are set to consider an agenda including 15 legislative acts designed to harmonize national laws with European Union standards, alongside measures to modernize public administration human resources.
In a separate parliamentary development, MP Constantin Cuiumju requested formal investigations by the Court of Accounts and the National Anti-Corruption Center into public spending by the National Bank of Moldova, arguing that central bank expenditures conflict with official calls for economic austerity.
