Hungary reviews major 4iG contracts following launch of state audit

Hungary has launched a full audit of tech group 4iG while re-evaluating the company's role in managing a €500 million EU satellite project.
Hungary's government has initiated a comprehensive review of its contracts with technology conglomerate 4iG Group following an official decree published in the government gazette. The probe targets all financial, state ownership, and contractual ties involving 4iG and its subsidiaries.
Alongside the audit, a communications gag order was issued across government ministries regarding the firm's affairs. Science and Technology Minister Zoltán Tanács confirmed Hungary will proceed with a planned €500 million investment in the European Union’s IRIS² satellite infrastructure. However, the government is re-evaluating 4iG's role in managing public tenders linked to the project. Responding to the audit, the company maintained that it remains a "partner" to the state.
